Sakura, a 4th grade schoolgirl, opens a forbidden book by chance. The book contains many cards, and a gust of wind causes them to scatter. This marks the beginning of Sakura's adventures. The cards are magical: Misfortune will follow wherever they go, so Sakura must retrieve them.
